15. Old Standard

The Old Standard font resembles classicist styles of typefaces that were popular in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is characterized by well-balanced spaces between letters and straight lines.

It also utilizes thick and thin strokes which is a common feature on most newspaper fonts. While it has plenty of glyphs, many people do not utilize them because they tend to take away from the professional tone it is commonly known for.

It supports over 500 languages and can be the ideal pick for anyone thinking of writing scientific papers. That is because most scientific textbooks from the past used the font and readers can, therefore, easily associate the font with science-related writeups.

Best Canva Fonts For Logos To Explore

1. Lato

Created by Polish designer Lukasz Dziedzic, Lato is one of the most versatile and easy-to-read fonts on Canva. Lukasz came up with this font in December 2010 as part of his graduate thesis project at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts.

His main aim was to design a font that’s clear and easy to read in regular text but also embodies some unique features when used in larger sizes.

If you look closely at the Lato font, you’ll notice that the letters follow traditional shapes, especially in capital letters, making them look balanced and classy.

It’s impressive how he gave the font a modern and smooth style without any fancy decorations. Although it was created in 2010, it doesn’t look like other fonts from that time.

Lato also features rounded letter shapes and generous spacing that adds to its eligibility. It offers a balanced appearance that feels modern yet approachable.

Lukasz noted that while the semi-rounded curves give the font a warm and welcoming vibe, the strong structure makes it look stable and serious. So, it’s both formal and approachable, like a warm summer day.

I guess that’s where the name Lato came from. In Polish, it means “Summer.” Since the font has excellent legibility, your brand name and message will be clear and recognizable across every platform you use.

You can either use the regular, bold, light, or italic style when designing your logo. Whether your brand is corporate, creative, or somewhere in between, Lato is flexible enough to complement any style or industry.

Overall, the font works well for wordmark logos where the focus is on the brand name.

2. Montserrat

Montserrat is another highly legible font that works well on logos. The designer, Julieta Ulanovsky, was inspired by the urban typography of the Montserrat neighborhood in Buenos Aires.

In an attempt to pay her last respect to the signage and lettering found in the neighborhood, the Montserrat font was born in 2010. So far it has grown to become one of the most popular sans-serif typefaces.

A lot of people find the font attractive and useful because of its clean, modern, and distinctive letterforms. Additionally, its uniform stroke width, clean lines, and rounded terminals add to its contemporary and simple appearance.

The font also includes two types of styles – Subryada and Alternates and each of them has unique characters. Aside from using it for your logos, it can also work well for your brand advertisement, banners, posters, websites, and practically anywhere else you need text.

The font comes with so much grace and legibility that helps readers grasp the message at the snap of a finger. You have nine weights and 18 styles to play around with, which is quite a lot. So, there’s enough creative freedom when designing your logo.

I noticed that some of the special letters in this font are the Q, which has a nice tail, and the J, which has a cool line at the top. If you want a more personalized and whimsical look, you can pair the font with a handwritten script like Bulgatti.

3. Roboto Slab

This is an excellent choice if you want a more robust and authoritative look for your logo. The font is a serif typeface and was designed by Christian Robertson to complement the Roboto font family.

It’s quite interesting how this font offers a lean balance between modernity and tradition with its distinctive slab serifs. Aside from that, its clean lines and open letterforms make it timeless and highly legible.

You should go for this font if you want to add a touch of seriousness to your logo while maintaining readability even at smaller sizes or when used in dense blocks of text. It comes in different weights and styles, so you’ll have enough flexibility when creating your logo.

Most of the industries known for using this font include finance, law, real estate, and other professional brands. If you combine it with a sans-serif font like the original Roboto, you’ll get a well-balanced and visually appealing logo.

4. Pacifico

The Pacifico font is best suited for brands that want a more relaxed and approachable vibe. Designed by Vernon Adams in 2011, this font was highly inspired by the 1950s American surf culture. That explains why it evokes a sense of laid-back and retro charm.

A lot of people fell in love with this font and in 2016, it was updated to include both light and bold weights. One of the top characteristics that stands out is the casual and fluid handwritten style with uneven strokes and whimsical letterforms.

The font screams, “Fun, Friendly, and Retro.” So, if your brand seeks to communicate this to your target audience, don’t miss out on this font.

It feels personal, welcoming, and effortless and that’s exactly how your audience will feel. The font also works best for brands looking to make a statement, brands targeting younger audiences, or the creative industry.

For logos, the light and regular styles are more suitable while you can reserve the bold and thick style for statement-making designs like social media posts.

5. Avenir Next

If your brand seeks to convey a contemporary, reliable, and sophisticated visual identity, Avenir Next is a good bet. You can effectively convey your message, values, and personality to your target audience.

Since its creation by Adrian Frutiger in 1988, this font has continually made waves with a list of companies and designers adopting it for different projects. One of the most notable features of the font is its clean and modern design.

As much as it helps you make a statement with your brand, it doesn’t have fancy decorations that can distract your audience. Its clean lines and geometric shapes evoke a sense of modernity, elegance, and sophistication.

Even with these attributes, the readability stays intact and that’s why it works well for different designs including logos and posters. Aside from that, its timeless aesthetic makes it easily adaptable to different brand identities, industries, and design styles.

6. Amatic SC

Amatic SC is another Canva font you can use for your logo design to project a casual and playful vibe. This is especially true if your brand is targeting a younger audience or those in creative industries like art and design. Thanks to its handwritten style.

Unlike most casual fonts, Amatic SC looks like it was written with a paintbrush which gives it a unique texture.

Since it was released in 2011 by Vernon Adams, this font has gained popularity among a lot of designers for its friendly and distinctive style. You can create a memorable logo with it.

Additionally, Amatic SC is known as a single-case font. This means that it only comes as uppercase letters. Although this makes it more unique and distinct, it can also be a bit limiting.

It’s still a great choice for small businesses, cafes, boutiques, and craft shops as it conveys a sense of personal touch and handmade aesthetic. Your logo will be so distinct that anyone who takes a look will always come back for more.

Finally, the font is also easy to read and works on all kinds of devices.

7. Bebas Neue

If you want to make a bold statement with your brand logo, don’t miss out on Bebas Neue. This font exudes so much strength and confidence.

It was designed by Ryoichi Tsunekawa of Dharma Type Foundry and features strong, geometric letterforms with thick strokes and narrow spacing. This makes it suitable for creating logos that command attention and leave a lasting impression on an audience.

Interestingly, the Bebas Neue font comes in all caps. This means that it only consists of uppercase letters, making it more bold and assertive.

Another characteristic you’ll notice with the Bebas Neue font is that it doesn’t have decorations. Ryoichi strictly designed it to look simple and elegant.

Overall, this font does well in logo design where a strong visual impact is critical.

8. Archivo Black

The Archivo Black font is also good at drawing attention, especially with logo designs. It was created by a popular designer named Hector Gatti and was released by Omnibus-Type Foundry in 2011.

Since its release, this font has gained popularity because of its bold and contemporary design. Being part of the sans-serif typeface family means that it lacks decorative strokes at the end of letters.

It has thick strokes instead and generous proportions with strong geometric shapes that will make your logo stand out and leave a lasting impression. Unlike other sans-serif fonts, this font has a bold and robust appearance that gives it a distinct and modern edge.

Finally, the Archivo Black font is highly legible. The clear letterforms and well-defined shapes ensure that your brand name is easily recognizable and read.

9. Playfair Display

For business owners looking to convey a sense of tradition, refinement, and elegance, Playfair Display is an excellent choice. It was designed by Claus Eggers Sorensen and released in Google Fonts in 2011.

Since then, it has grown to become one of the most popular serif fonts. It features small decorative lines, otherwise known as “serifs”, commonly found at the end of characters’ strokes.

Interestingly, these serifs give the font a classic and timeless appeal. You also can’t take away the sophistication that comes with it.

This explains why the font is mostly suited for luxury brands, high-end products, fashion labels, boutique hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale businesses.

Another distinctive feature I noticed with Playfair Display is that it has generous letter spacing which makes it highly legible, even at smaller sizes. This means that your brand name and message will be easily recognizable in your logo designs.

10. Oswald

Oswald is another Canva font for your logo design especially if you’re in industries like fashion and entertainment. The font became famous in 2011 when it was released under the SIL Open Font License.

The designer, Vernon Adams, drew inspiration from the classic gothic fonts of the early century like Alternative Gothic. He did something quite impressionable – he incorporated modern elements in the font to give it a bold and contemporary feel.

Since Oswald is a sans-serif font, it doesn’t have fancy strokes at the end of its letters. The letterforms are rather clean and simple, making them ideal for brands looking for a modern and minimalist aesthetic.

In addition to that, Oswald’s geometric letterforms come with vertical strokes that also add to their attention-grabbing attributes.

You can pair this font with either a serif or sans-serif font. You’ll notice that its slightly elongated shape adds contrast to any text it’s paired with.

11. Poppins

You can’t go wrong with the Poppins font especially if your brand aims to offer a friendly and approachable vibe to the target audience.

It was created in 2014 by Indian Type Foundry and has so far grown to incorporate nine additional weights with matching italics.

Additionally, the font has a perfect blend of geometric and humanist styles which give it a modern yet harmonious and friendly look.

You’ll notice that the corners are slightly rounded, with tall lowercase letters and an open aperture in space for characters like ‘o’ and ‘e.’

All these features make the Poppins font easy to read and suitable for a wide range of logo designs. It conveys professionalism, clarity, and simplicity.

12. Dosis

If you’re in the tech industry, you can use this font in designing your brand logo. It has a clean and futuristic appearance that works well for your niche.

Dosis was created by Edgar Tolentino and Pablo Impallri in 2011 and has so far gained popularity among notable designers for its legibility and aesthetic design.

It’s quite intriguing knowing that the font was created as a response to the lack of free and open-source geometric sans-serif fonts at that time.

It first came with an Extra Light Style, suitable for larger sizes and extended Latin characters. Due to its popularity and high demand, it was later expanded to include a full range of weights.

Dosis is known for its simple and rounded edges. While the lighter weights are more minimalistic, the bolder weights infuse more personality into your logos.

The medium weight, on the other hand, strikes a good balance between the two extremes.

13. Quicksand

When Andrew Paglinawan was studying at the School of Visual Arts in New York, he designed the Quicksand font for his student project.

This was in 2008 and since then, this font has become the go-to for lots of brands due to its modern, clean, and friendly appearance.

It has already been released under the SIL Open Font License which means it is freely available for both commercial and personal use.

The Quicksand font has rounded corners and geometric shapes that give it a professional, yet soft and approachable feel. It’s also highly legible no matter how small the letters are.

Interestingly, you’ll only get three weights with this font but it has slanted versions for each weight. It’s quite evident that Andrew was mostly inspired by the geometric fonts popular in the 1920s and 30s but he adjusted it a little so that it’s easier to read.

All these characteristics make the font perfect for delicate and feminine logos.

Before choosing any font, do thorough research and study your competitors. Look at their logos and how they employed the right font to connect with their target audience.

This will ensure that you make the right choice for your business and marketing initiatives.

Corjl allows you to personalize your account by accessing the Account Settings menu and adjusting a few things. You can switch from Dark to Light mode depending on your preference.

Canva

Compared to Corjl, the Canva interface is slightly more complicated since the dashboard includes a lot of graphics and sections. This may seem a bit overwhelming to a new user.

However, once you get used to it everything will start getting easier. The right side of the dashboard is similar to what you find on Corjl.

That means there are different sections including Magic Studio, Projects, Templates, Brand, Apps, and Trash. Clicking on any of the sections will redirect you to the relevant page.

At the top of the dashboard, you will find more sections including Design Spotlight, Business, and Plans & Pricing. There is a search bar at the center and right below it is the section where you can find all the recent projects you have worked on.

Despite the graphics and different sections, Canva pages still load relatively fast which is quite impressive. You can switch from Dark to Light Mode at will.

Canva slightly differs from Corjl because it not only allows you to design graphics for printing but also for your video content. This means it is a more versatile option for people who want to showcase their designs on different media.

In addition, Canva incorporates AI-powered design tools such as Magic Design, Magic Write, and Magic Edit. These can help simplify processes that may otherwise seem challenging, especially for designers with minimal experience.

Third-Party Integrations

Corjl

Silhouette Studio and Canva are popular design tools that have taken over the creative industry. However, it seems like they are created for different purposes and have unique features.

While Silhouette Studio works best for people who enjoy hands-on crafting, Canva is more of an online design tool for creating any kind of project including logos, social media graphics, presentations, posters, and more.

As much as these tools embody unique features, you can’t help but wonder which of them is better. Well, I have taken my time to explore and review my findings in this article.

I’m going to review their features, how they function, their audience preference, ease of use, and pricing – including their similarities and differences.

The goal at the end is to have enough information to decide on which design tool to go for. Now, without much ado, let’s dive right in!

Silhouette Studio vs Canva – Introduction

What is Silhouette Studio?

Silhouette Studio is one of the design software created under Silhouette America. The company has been around since 2009 and was founded by Greg Sundberg.

The primary aim is to serve as a digital workshop for both beginner and experienced crafters and designers.

With this tool, you can dream up, design, and bring your projects to life. Whether you’re making personalized greeting cards or social media graphics, Silhouette Studio will help you make something that’s uniquely yours.

As an experienced designer, it’s good that the tool gives you a lot of creative control to make projects that meet your needs. There are over 60 design features including tracing, welding, and warping that you can conveniently employ to design anything you can imagine.

If you’re not so masterful in creating a design from scratch, you don’t have to fret. Silhouette Studio already comes with more than 200,000 pre-made designs waiting for you in the store.

You simply need to download them, then pick one and customize it to your taste. It’s that easy!

The most interesting part is that the software is easily integrated with Silhouette cutting machines, allowing you more creative freedom to explore and turn your imagination into reality.

What is Canva?

Founded in 2013, Canva is like an easy and fun playground for beginner designers to create amazing graphics for their businesses. The platform is highly popular and comes with thousands of ready-made templates for you to explore.

All you need to do is pick a template, drag, drop, and customize the needed elements, add your words, throw in some pictures, and boom – you’ve got something that looks like it was designed by a professional!

Afterward, you can download it in whatever format you want or share it with your friends across all social media platforms. That’s how easy and user-friendly this platform is.

Also, if you’re a pro-designer, you’re free to start your design from scratch. The only difference here is that you now have all the elements you’ll need at your fingertips.

The Canva collaboration feature favors users who are working with a team. You can always work with your colleagues and share your projects in real time.

You can access this tool either online or by downloading the mobile version from either the Play Store or Apple Store. Once downloaded, you need to create an account online and subscribe to any of the plans. There’s already a free plan to get you started.

Silhouette Studio vs Canva – Features

Silhouette Studio

1.Create unique designs from scratch

Silhouette Studio is known for giving users full creative control over their projects. There are a lot of design tools that will enable you to create your unique designs from the ground up.

2. Import and trace

Another thing to note about this software is that you’re free to import external images and trace them to create cut lines. This feature will come in handy if you want to turn raster images into vector designs suitable for cutting. You can import them in formats like JPG, BMP, and PNG.

3. Rich design library

For beginner designers, Silhouette Studio Library has you covered! There are lots of pre-made templates for you to download and customize to your taste. The library is also where you store and organize your designs.

4. Access to fonts on your computer

Most design tools usually limit you to the fonts they have pre-installed in their platform. But that’s not the case with Silhouette Studio.

Here, you can also use fonts that are already installed on your computer. This way, you have a variety of options to choose from when working.

5. Wide range of image effects

Silhouette Studio vs Canva – Ease of Use

Silhouette Studio

As much as Silhouette Studio is designed for both beginners and experienced designers, newbies might need more time to familiarize themselves with the software.

First, you need to integrate it with your Silhouette cutting machine. This integration is an extra learning curve for beginners.

You’re not only learning how to use the studio but also the cutting machine. It’s not exactly a straightforward process but thankfully, there’s a library of tutorials and instructions on how to navigate the platform.

Overall, since your designs can be accessed at any time even when you’re offline, you have more flexibility when working.

Canva

Canva is highly known for its user-friendly interface and most users, regardless of their experience level can easily find their way.

Unlike Silhouette Studio, there’s no integration required when using this platform, making the learning curve shorter especially for beginner designers.

Overall, Canva has a more intuitive interface and also caters to a diverse range of design projects.

Silhouette Studio vs Canva – Functionality

Silhouette Studio vs Canva – Pricing

Silhouette Studio

Silhouette Studio has different plans that cater to different users. As a newbie, the free basic plan is enough to get you started. It allows you to create designs and send them to your Silhouette machine.

There’s also the Basic to Designer Edition Plus which goes for $74.99 and lets you work with embroidery files and other design tools.

Canva is an amazing graphic design tool.

Available for free, it allows users without advanced graphic design skills to harness the power of drag and drop to create beautiful posters, banners, social media ads, and more.

Using Canva, you can add photos, text, stickers, and a lot more to your graphics. Many pictures, stickers, icons, and other elements are available for free.

However, one challenge that many Canva users come across is adding superscripts in the Canva app.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in method to add superscripts in Canva. However, all hope is not lost; there are several easy ways to superscript in Canva.

Let’s learn more about it.

Also Read: Identifying Fonts From Images In Canva

Quick Summary

There are three ways to add a superscript in Canva:

  1. Add a separate text box for the superscript and reposition it so that it looks like a superscript.
  2. Use a superscript generator to generate a superscript text and copy and paste it into the text box in Canva.
  3. Using the Magic Write tool, input a script to harness the power of AI to generate multiple superscripts at once.

Method #1: Add a Separate Text Box

The first method is quite simple and works like a charm. While Canva doesn’t allow you to add a superscript within a single text box, you can simply add a separate text box to accomplish the same thing.

Let’s go over the steps you’ll need to take to accomplish this.

Step 1: Add a Text Box

The first step is adding your initial box of text. This text box will be for your subscript.

To do that, click on the text element on the left side of the screen. It will be indicated by a large T, as shown in the screenshot above.

Next, click on the Add a little bit of body text option. You can then add a subscript into the editor.

Use the resizing options, including the circles at the edges of the text box and the lines on the sides (as indicated in the screenshot by arrows), to resize your text. Remember, it’s a subscript, so you should be making it large.

You can also change the font and size of the text to better fit your text box. The font option I am using, as shown in the toolbar at the top of the editing area, is Canva Sans, and the font size is 116.

Check OutSpooky Fonts On Canva

Consider bolding the subscript. This will help it stand out from the superscript, which we will be adding next.

Step 2: Add Another Text Box for the Superscript

Now, we will repeat the same process as before. This time, though, we will be adding a text box for the superscript.

Therefore, we want it to be smaller than the original subscript text box.

So, once you add a new text box, resize it so that it is a lot smaller than the first text box. Then, use the drag and drop feature in Canva to drag the new text box above and to the right of the first text box, as shown in this screenshot:

Also Read: Best Christmas Fonts For Canva

As you can see, we have the subscript 1 and the superscript A.

Some tips you may want to consider include:

  • Change the font of the superscript so that it is not the same as the subscript. Use a larger, bolder font for the subscript and a simpler font for the superscript.
  • Bold the subscript, but leave the superscript unbolded or even italicized.
  • Change the color of the superscript to help it stand out, as shown in the following screenshot.

Step 3: Copy and Paste the Superscript

You may want to add a superscript to more than one subscript. For example, in our case, we added the superscript A to the number 1, but what if we want to add the superscript B to the number 2?

In Canva, you can copy and paste a text box. When you do so, the copied text box will look exactly the same and retain the same style as the first.

Let’s say we had the number 1 and the number 2. The number 1 already has a superscript, but the number 2 does not:

Check Out: Can You Sell Canva Designs On Etsy?

All we have to do is right-click on the superscript (the text box with the red A) and select the copy option.

Once you do that, you can paste the text box into the editing area by clicking CTRL + V.

It will paste the exact same text box somewhere on the screen. You can then change the actual text; in our example, I changed the A to a B while retaining the font and color.

Next, simply drag and drop it next to the other subscript you want it to be added to as a superscript.

For example, if it pastes it to the middle of the screen, drag it until it is positioned to the upper right of the 2. This is our result:

Step 4: Combine the Subscript and Superscript

What if you want to drag both the subscript and superscript, together, to another part of the screen? Since we added two text boxes, we would have to drag and drop them separately, and that’s pretty annoying, since we’d have to carefully position both of them again.

No worries. You can select both the subscript and superscript as one.

To do that, select both text boxes by clicking with your mouse and drawing a square that encompasses both of the text boxes. You will see both text boxes selected, as shown in the following screenshot:

Check Out: Best Canva Audio Tracks

When you release your mouse, you will see an option that allows you to group the two elements together, as shown in the following screenshot:

Click on Group. Now, you can drag and drop both elements together anywhere on the page.

You always have the option of ungrouping them later if you would like to work on them separately.

Pros and Cons of This Method

The benefit of this method is that you don’t have to use any third-party tools or websites. You can do everything from the Canva interface.

On the other hand, it doesn’t work well if you need to create a lot of superscripts. It involves a lot of work, including resizing each text box and getting it positioned in just the right place.

Creating two separate text boxes, one for the subscript and one for the superscript, can be frustrating at times. You can’t edit the texts in both in one go, and you may find it hard to position the superscript correctly so that it flows well with the subscript text.

Method #2: Copy and Paste From a Subscript Generator

Another option is copying and pasting the superscript from a superscript generator site.

Here are the steps you will need to take to use this method effectively.

Step 1: Type Your Subscript Into Canva

The first step is typing your subscript into Canva. This isn’t difficult; just click on the text element in the left-side menu and start typing some text into the editor.

As always, you can resize the text box and change the font, size, and color of the text.

Here is an example of the first step completed (I am using the word “subscript” as a placeholder for whichever subscript you want to write):

Also Read: Canva vs Kittl

Step 2: Copy and Paste From a Superscript Generator

The generator I will be using, LingoJam, is easy and simple to use. It turns any text you want into a superscript text.

Just type the text you want to be turned into a superscript into the box on the left side. On the right side, a superscript version will be generated.

Only type in the superscript, not the subscript! The subscript is already in Canva.

For our purposes, I have used the text “superscript” as an example of our superscript text.

The next step is copying the generated superscript text from the right box and pasting it into Canva. You can highlight the text and copy it by clicking on CTRL + C or right-clicking and selecting the copy option.

Paste it into the same text box in Canva, right after the word you are using as a subscript. Make sure your cursor or the editing line is positioned right after the last letter of your subscript, and then click on CTRL + V to paste the copied superscript text.

Also Read: Best Feminine Fonts On Canva

While Canva doesn’t have a tool to generate a superscript, it does retain the superscript font if you paste it in from somewhere else.

There are free superscript generators other than LingoJam, which you can easily find with a quick Google search.

Step 3: Edit the Entire Text

Since the entire text is in a single text box, you can apply edits to both of them at once. For example, you can bold or unbold both the subscript and superscript or change their color.

Of course, you can still edit the subscript alone or the superscript alone by highlighting only that portion of the text. However, if you select all the text in the text box, any edits you make, such as font changes, will apply to both of them.

Pros and Cons of The Method

The obvious advantage of this method is that it allows you to add the subscript and superscript in the same text box. This has a lot of benefits, including better alignment of the text and the ability to edit both the subscript and superscript in one go.

On the other hand, it does require a third-party tool. Going back and forth to copy and paste every single superscript you want to add can be time-consuming and frustrating.

What if you have a lot of superscripts you want to add to a list of subscripts? Surely, there must be a more efficient option – and there is!

Read on to learn what it is.

Method #3: Use a Superscript Generator + Magic Write

Canva now offers a tool called Magic Write. Magic Write is an AI-powered tool that can fix your spelling, rewrite your text, and help you generate new content.

It’s not free to use, but you do get 50 credits to use for free. That allows you to test out the tool without committing any money upfront.

The feature we will be using is the Rewrite tool. We will input an instructional script into Magic Rewrite that will allow us to instantly generate several superscripts at once throughout our text box.

It sounds complicated, but it isn’t. Here are the steps you will need to take for it to work.

Step 1: Create a Text Box

The first step is creating a text box in the editor by using the text element from the left side menu. This step is fairly easy and should be self-explanatory at this point in the article.

Step 2: Write an Instructional Script

The next step is inputting an instructional script into the text box. You can copy and paste the instructional script I have used and modify it to write your own superscripts:

“Rewrite this with superscripts. Use the exponent symbol to create a superscript for everything following the exponent in a word. For example, rewrite Word1^A as Word1ᴬ.”

I used LingoJam to write this script: I copied and pasted the ᴬ from LingoJam when inputting this script into the text box.

Check Out: Why Are My Canva Images Blurry?

Then, after this script, I listed out all the words I wanted to be converted into superscripts, along with their accompanying subscripts. I used placeholder examples, but you can use any word combinations!

Remember to add the exponent between each subscript and superscript, so the Magic Write tool can understand what you want it to do.

Here is an example of me writing my instructional script and my list of desired subscripts and superscripts in the text box:

Also ReadBest Barbie Fonts In Canva

Then, click on the text box and click on the Magic Write button. You will see a Rewrite option. Click on it, and wait as the AI tool rewrites your text to match your script.

Bam! You will instantly get the superscripts you want, all in one go.

Here are the results from my little example:

You can then delete the “Rewrite with Superscripts” text at the top, and you will be left with a list of subscripts and superscripts. It’s that easy!

Pros and Cons of This Method

You can generate several superscripts at once. You don’t have to keep creating separate text boxes or copying and pasting every single superscript.

It will save you a lot of time, and it is a lot more efficient when you have a list of subscripts you want to add superscripts to.

The downside of this method is that while 50 credits are available for free, it will cost money if you use it regularly.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, Canva doesn’t have a way to add superscripts to texts. I hope it adds this feature in the future, but for now, you will need to use a workaround.

Fortunately, though, there are a few ways to add superscripts to Canva, and they are easy to learn.

As we learned above, you can either copy and paste from a superscript generator, create a separate text box for the superscript, or use the Magic Write tool to achieve it.
